The George and Dragon, Upton, has been providing free essentials to the vulnerable in its community, as well as offering a takeaway service for locals.

Worcester pub, The Goodrest Tavern, is collecting food supplies to be distributed between two local homelessness charities; Maggs Day Centre and St Paul’s Hostel.

The team at the Nevile Arms, Kinoulton, are supporting the local community, by providing food boxes for those that have struggled to stock up due to panic buying.

Since the Prime Minister’s announcement on 20th March announcing the enforced closure of all pubs in the UK, our teams have worked tirelessly to ensure all pubs were closed on time and all Partners were communicated to. We are hugely grateful for the continued hard work of all our team.

1st April, 2020: Hawthorn Leisure has today announced an operational restructure, which has seen the creation for the first time of a dedicated Operator Managed division. Mark Brooke has joined Hawthorn Leisure in the new role of Operations Director – Operator Managed, while Elaine Kennedy has been promoted to the role of Operations Director – Scotland and North East England.

In accordance with the Government’s announcement of Friday 20th March, our community Pubs are closed until further notice, to limit the spread of Coronavirus. We have been in close contact with all of our Pub Partners and will continue to offer guidance and support throughout the enforced closure
