The Murray is set in a highly densely populated housing scheme. It shares a carpark with a convenience store and is a 10-minute walk from the local train station, and a bus stop on the main road. There is a small refurbishment planned mainly to the signage and outside areas. Internally there is one main bar in the centre of the room. There is a pool table and darts area. There is no food offered at present. Externally it has an enclosed beer garden and is just off the roadside in a carpark. There is no private accommodation with this site.
The Murray is a community local wet-led pub which is a great meeting point for locals; the staff are warm and welcoming and engage with the community, The pub holds varied entertainment most weeks and needs to continue to be a part of the community and provide entertainment and good quality products. The pub company are looking for a great quality tenant with a good understanding of a community-based pub. At least two years as a general manager or local operator. It would also suit a multiple operator. They would need to have experience in managing a local’s bar, owner/operator type etc. Key drivers at this site are sports, pool, entertainment and a great team.
Please note that the energy performance certificate is available from the landlord. Initial TAW which then moves on to a longer agreement after Capex development.
