Here at Hawthorn Leisure, we genuinely care about our Partners and will always go above and beyond to support them in achieving the best results possible. We believe the added benefits we offer to our Partners are fundamental in helping them to grow sales, save money and run a successful business.

  • Drinks - We work closely with suppliers to offer an extensive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for all of our pubs.
  • Gaming - We work with suppliers to provide an extensive range of game machine options for our Partners.
  • Insurance - We have engaged the services of, leading insurance broker, Locktons to provide comprehensive buildings insurance for our pub estate.
  • Marketing - We provide affective marketing and PR support for all of our Partners.
  • Partner Accountants - All our Partners are encouraged to take up an annual membership with the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) who provide comprehensive business and professional support for people working in the licensed hospitality industry. They offer a one-stop shop, with access to expert advice, guidance, helplines, mentoring, qualifications and a range of free and discounted business services specifically tailored for the licensed industry you won’t find anywhere else – all for less than the price of a pint each week! Below is a link to their website. We offer Partners who use one of the regulated accountants 50% off their agreement administration fee.
  • Training - We are committed to providing dedicated and efficient training to support all of our Partners.


We offer a comprehensive range of draught, craft and cask beers from UK leading brands, as well as carefully selected beers from around the world. Our wine and spirits range is equally as impressive, offering everything from value priced items to quirky gins and renowned whiskies suiting both the occasional drinker and the connoisseur.

We negotiate the supply of drinks from a number of major brands in order to obtain a competitive price for all of our Partners and we are continuingly working with them to ensure their beverage offering is tailored to their pub and customer needs. We also offer a packaged range to make things slightly easier for our Partners, which incorporates everything from core staples to unique tasting craft beers.


We believe it is important to support our Partners in creating an additional revenue stream and so offer a number of different gaming options through our chosen suppliers. We make sure there are options suited to every pub, varying from the latest machines with digital content to traditional style AWPs, SWPs and pool tables.

We typically share machine income with our core tenanted and leased Partners. This will be negotiated and terms will be agreed as part of the tenure agreement. Machine income is formally reviewed, every month, on a site by site basis.

Please note:

  • Machines are collected on a 7 or 14 day cycle, dependent upon income levels
  • Onsite service is available 364 days per year, excluding Christmas Day


We like to make things a little easier for our Partners by working with Locktons to provide comprehensive buildings insurance. Please note our Partners are required to have their own insurances including employer’s liability and public liability policies.


We firmly believe that marketing and PR contributes to the success of a pub so we support all of our sites with promotional ideas and activity.

All Partners have access to our dedicated Hawthorn Leisure online print portal, which contains pre-designed print collateral to enable them to promote all major annual events, food and drink offers and ‘rhythm of the week’ activity.

Through our strong relationships with brand owners, we negotiate promotions and discounts on products throughout the year, from straightforward money off to rate of sale deals and free printed materials.


Our experienced team have carefully chosen a select list of accountants with significant experience of the licensed trade to help our Partners with any financial queries. They can provide a full range of services from business plans to payroll, stocktaking to quarterly returns and VAT submissions.

We completely understand that Partners may choose to use their own accountant.

Please note, we cannot accept applications for any substantive agreement which has not been signed off by a suitably qualified accountant and all accountancy fees are the responsibility of the Partner.


Training is often deemed too difficult or too time consuming to think about when there are other more pressing things to do. At Hawthorn Leisure we strongly believe supportive training, for both Partners and their staff, can be critical to a successful business and so ensure that our Partners are always one step ahead of the game.

Examples of previous training for our Partners include: e-learning on fire safety, food safety and social media, as well as Diageo Bar Academy training and social media workshops.

We are also firm believers in staff development; it fosters loyalty and commitment and creates a springboard for your business to grow.
